Any info on current B-727 Pay, work rules and QOL would be grealy appreciated.

Oh boy, where do I begin ( do I have your attention yet?? ). Seriously, pre the May 28'th announcement I would have sung the praises of AStar (that's who works the 727 in N. America for DHL). Now all bets are off. I would give it only a 15% chance that we will be operating past June of '09. With that said......

Go to airlinepilotcentral dot com/airline and click on cargo then Astar to find the pay info. I am a 13 yr. vet and have always told folks that this is THE best job in aviation. The work rules and QOL don't suck. Line holders bid on 7 on, 7 off lines and reserve is 8 on 6 off with the option of choosing first or last out. HR and SR (Hot and Standby reserve) are considered flying lines and are 7 on 7 off. But consider what you are. And what you are is an up all night freightdog. So you have to weigh that into your calculations.

I'm not trying to scare you off, but please consider all other options before committing to this place. If you have other things working, like swimming in some pools, and the pay is better here than what your doing now, then this might be a good gig till something better comes along before we might shut down.

EEMEA = Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa

I.e. nothing to do with Astar.

Thanks, AAO. I do get out of the cave every now and then, at least enough to know what is going down with DHL USA. I am curious about the lack of feedback-just replied to an ad for Capt's but the info was a little brief. Mainly curious-I have a good job just seeing if there is something better out there.
