Hot Job Tips
So does anyone know who's currently taking on F/O's in Europe???
I have recently converted FAA to CAA ATPL, 2000 total 500 multi, with MCC and perf a, no turbine or multi crew time at all. I think that any information would be of a great benefit to all of us. Cheers ------------------ It's all fun and games 'til someone gets poked in the eye. |
OK, I’ll start.
I sent off approx. 35 cv’s mid February, and these are the responses that I have gotten so far. 1. Aer Lingus: application form 2. CityFlyer: application form and company info 3. British Regional/Manx: application form and company info 4. Brymon: letter showing interest (ie. will call me) 5. Virgin Express: application form 6. British Midland Commuter: application form 7. TNT: application form Negative responses from: 1: GB Airways 2: Air 2000 3: British World 4: Airtours 5. British Med 6: Virgin Atlantic 7: Gill Does anyone else have any other info or tips? ------------------ It's all fun and games 'til someone gets poked in the eye. |
Hot or cold just keep going,
it seems that your bush hours don't open so many doors as it should ! I just don't know why ... Good luck anyway, and check Monarch i know of a guy who just get hired on A320 with 210 hours and CAA licences, good profile and good sim cession on Caravelle ! So there are open gate , just slide in ! |
Monarch told me 2500 hours and 500 on Jet, and City Flyer said I was not succesful, and not to phone or they would call the police (well that's what it sounded like ;) ) most seem to be "thanks for the CV, it's on file."

Hi there
HP, how did you manage to convert FAA ATPL to CAA???? http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/confused.gif Did you sit all the theory again and pay thousands? I have in the box to pass FAA certificates but still wondering where I can fly with them later on (non US). Good luck http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif |
Yup, payed through the teeth for it (about $18,000 US). Unless you have something like 2000 hours on heavy, multicrew aircraft you have to do all the exams.
Don't knock the FAA ticket. There are probably hundreds of outfits outside the US at which you can fly with them, especially Africa and the Carribbean ------------------ It's all fun and games 'til someone gets poked in the eye.
