A group of retired Delta pilots have been fighting for the right to be involved in the pension benefits dispute. A few months ago they got a ruling that they could sue over pensions. They have been at odds with the current pilot group, the company, and the PBGC at one time or another. I have heard they are satisfied with the agreement reached last week but have not verified that. My point is that retired pilots are fighting for the pensions they earned and some will
not be successful. Most of these folks will be working because they have to and will not be giving their paychecks to the company. |
At the end of the day "nice guys" or whatever, it is a bottom feeder scumbag operation who expects it's employees to foot the bill for it's start-up costs.... :*

Same thoughts passed through my mind Ironbutt.
If you dont have a job then this may be a temp fix. Salary is not good, things they ask you to pay for is not normal employee costs. Probably good enough if you dont have a family to support, but still low. No one minds working hard ang going the extra mile for the company we have all done it. How does other 747 operators pay much more than this, still expand and make a profit? Problem is when we except terms and conditions such as this we lower the standards for everyone else. Before long we have no standards at all. " One day you are the windsheild, Next day you are the bug" |
