G-INTL to move on to pastures new .... ?

Information taken from another source ....
The stored AFX 747 at Stansted, G-INTL has appeared on the US register as
N2061L. It was registered to Jet Midwest Inc of Kansas on 17th February
under a temporary permit until 19th March. It's not shown as having an
airworthiness certificate.
It may well ferry to Jakarta for C-Check soon

Dont shoot the messenger as he will fire back !!!
May the Farce be with you

With all due respect, there's no way that heap will fly on or before 19th March. Although, you didn't specify which year :\

Hello Bacadi Walla
All respect necessary deducted at source !! I am posting this out of interest as I know that there are a fair few ex AFX drivers out there, I read it on another site so thought I would pass the baton along....
As you say I didn't put a year , perhaps I should start a sweepstake !!

Someones going to have to go and chip all the rust off as well.

Daft Wader 14th March 2006 08:35

Should imagine there might be some outstanding fees to pay as well !!!!

I drive past it every day when on shift and, well, lets just say, I think it may well just stay put.......

INTL is the Acft which is involved in the law suit that Herr Bowles is fighting with Evergreen. I believe there is a court case starting sometime in May.

Lets start a wager

Lets start a wager to see which is moved/scrapped first...
G-INTL or the Hydro Air B747F at Lagos that looks like pigeons have
been using it for target practice....:}

You could go further - last I heard GGAFX, the other AFX acft, was still parked out in the sticks at STN!!! Anybody know anything?

No, as mentioned in the first post, N2061L (ex GINTL) is the aircraft at Stansted

N218BA (ex GGAFX) was/is at Manston

Hey guys, anybody know if the aircraft is still in Stansted? I've been offered a job on it. The new registration and C check seem to match, but has it actually left for Jakarta? Any recent sightings? Would really appreciate the info, Thanks!

I'm sure I saw it last week in STN on the North side, looked a bit sad...

thats gonna want some work doing on it before it goes anywhere..!
What happened with the AFX/Evergreen Air Centre court case?

STN Ramp Rat 12th July 2006 15:56

its still at STN, I dont think anyone has been near it for ages, be very carefull with the job, I cant see it ever flying again

The court case with Evergreen is over G-GAFX which was/is at Manston, and was a leased aircraft. G-INTL was not leased...

JFF :ok:

Ernst Blofeld's Cat 13th July 2006 12:10

Sorry JFF, the court case with Evergreen is definitely about G-INTL and is still ongoing, hopefully reaching a conclusion later this year.

oops

I stand corrected.... obviously! :\

Cheers
JFF ;)
