Air Contractors
Hi,
Could someone please shed some light on ACL's Terms and Conditions/Salary and typical working month as an FO on the ATR fleet? Thanks Box |

If you go on main european roster (approx 80% of crew are on this), then you will typically work: two weeks on (mon -thurs night with middle weekend off down route) then 1 week contactable - 1 week off or 1 week off - 1 week contactable. roster is issued for 2- 3 months approx 1- 2 months ahead. remaining 20% of crews are on a roster operating route's out of bournemouth and gatwick. roster is still issued same as above, but will involve blocks of 2-3 nights work, and then a few days off/contactable., and the occasional weekend. salary i guess for f/o is approx 29000 stirling then duty pay of 1.96 per hour, plus £10 per complete 24 hours. Hope this helps. |
Thanks for that Owen.
The salary is a bit of a misnomer - ppjn are quoting over 36K for F/O's! Is your figure from a better source for this? Thanks again |
Suspect those are the figures for the airbus.
However, that wouldn't be far wrong if taking into consideration the duty pay, twelve days a month at £57 a day, plus any call out on a contactable week. |
Great. Thanks for the info.

Hey Owen don't forget you get a card on your Birthday!
Nice touch.:p |
Does anyone know why AC are selling off ATR's in flight international?
cheers MJR |
Because they dont fit snugly inside the airbus!

'Does anyone know why AC are selling off ATR's in flight international?'
Hello, Does anyone know the answer to the above as i'm considering an ATR type rating and would like to know if employment options are decreasing and competition increasing!!!:( Thanks |
Reading this ad, it mentions that 2 ATR42s are available for sale OR (freight) charter work, in other words they might not be sold if more contract work comes ACL's way. Air Contractors currently have 16 ATR42s & 72s on strength, so even if these two are indeed sold, they still have a decent fleet...
Cheers  |
I believe that those 42's are being replaced by 72's
|
Yes. EI-CGO has it right. A lot of the 42 routes have bulked out so 72s are needed.....and when they bulk out.....?
|
... maybe more Hercules then? ;)
