What happened to OREX?

Some time ago there was a small Turkish outfit: Orbit Express - OREX. They operated A300F.

Obviously they are not in the market anymore -so, what happened to them?

They had a good contract forflights to/from China via Turkey...

From China to Europe via Turkey with A300 ???
Sounds a little bit irrealistic to me.

No idea sorry,

Bye

didn't they change their name to Kuzu Cargo or is that somebody else (with A300s)?

There has been a recent Turkish start-up called ACT Cargo using A300s, frequently on behalf of MNG Cargo

ACT aircraft I believe is the old Orex one.
Kuzu are renamed from the old Baron Air Cargo company.

Wasn't a Kani Kurtulus the owner of OREX? Is he now behind ACT??? This guy was also involved in the early days of MNG!

Orex

Orex is no more existing in Turkey !!!

Their AOC has been removed by the turkish civil aviation dept. approx. 4 months ago.

However, we were very much surprised to hear recently that they have tried to lease a TriStar freighter in TLV via a third unknown person or company.

But, can confirm that they have operated flights from China to Europe via Turkey or Turkic Republics either on behalf of China Eastern A/L or any chinese broker.

Nobody has any idea about Kani Kurtulus and his future intentions. Probably he is looking for some investors with some
excess money to establish a new airline.

So, please be careful if you have to deal with him.

A friend of mine dealt with Kani Kurtulus.

He said, that Kurtulus is a little ugly thief. He gave them a contract with a chinese guy and never paid the agreed fee.

Any truth to the rumours that MNG will get 2 747 freighters soon?
Another company there "Fly Air" is banned from landing in France.
Due to safety issues.
According to CNN this no fly blacklist will effect all 25 EU countries.
Will be issued on Dec 5th, they did not say when it would be enforced.
If banned from one then no overflights or landings for all.
