Ferry flight Angola

Has anybody heard some rumors about problems with a ferry flight from Angola to Europe (DC-8 Freighter). I await a call from the crew since more than 2 weeks and haven't heard anything from them since. I can't get a hold of these guys either.

Wonder if there might be just a technical delay or some more unusual problems.

Any hints or infos greatly appreciated :confused:

It arrived late last year and sat on the ramp for ages, we all thought that it would be dragged to near the tower and left to rot like all the other junk, (except the N reg ex(?) mil Hercules that is guarded 24/7 - but thats another story!!).

In March it was towed to one of TAAGs hangers and cleaned up, walked past it every day and there were people working on it as if in preparation to get it flying.

Not in country at the moment but try and find out more.

Hope its a not a ferry flight like the last one!!:} :ok: :E :E
