CARGO title necessary?
 

Why do carriers use 'Cargo' on their freighters, why cant it just be Korean Air or Lufthansa operating freighter sevices like they operate passenger services, they dont say Korean Air 'Passenger' or Lufthansa 'Public', any particular reason for it?

Most of the freighters have no windows, or have the windows "plugged." Ordinary pax who normally associate the livery with passenger service may feel curious or spooked about the possibility of having to sit in a windowless cabin.

Apart from GlueBalls valid comments, in some cases, for instance Lufthansa, the cargo department/airline is an independant financial entity and, in effect, a 'separate' airline. Further, it's good advertising as then people know that airline X has large freighter aircraft and is not resticted just to belly capacity.

"Separate" airline should hold their own "separate" AOC, but no one (AFAIK) didn't went so far, just too expensive. $)

Back to the topic - it has more on ads side rather than ops or pax issues (yes, actually cargo division in many cases is financially independant from main airline pax ops, so they need to pay themselves to become better known and "always in sight").

For example there is now LH MD11F painted in "WOW" c/s, which is purely advertisement, becuase freight forwarders never see aircraft and pax around have no clue what "WOW" stands for. But this particular airframe photos are extensively used when WOW members advetising their combined serices, and computer-made virtual photo sounds too cheap ;)

It's so the loaders know which planes the big pallets go on.

Actually WOW doesn't stand for anything. Its just a word.
