Star Air (Jordanian Carrier)
Anyone heard of this outfit & who is running it or behind it?
From the L1011 website: "Jordanian carrier Star Air plans to expand its TriStar fleet dramatically" |

Thanks for the link.
I heard they are getting L1011F's Makes sense as there's one sitting in AMM gathering dust! |
AFAIK, they had an L10F for two or three months, then it was sent to DUS, where it resides in somewhat uncommon splendor.
In dealing with the owner(s) of these machines, be sure to count fingers after each handshake. |
411A
I took that jet to DUS and I wasn't working for Star Air. |
Hoppy
Saw the website on Star Air. If they are Jordanian, how come the a/c are "9L" registered? Isn't that Sierra Leone? |
Have they got one working out of Khartoum?
9L-LDE??? |
How come so many ships are registered in Monrovia??? I think they call it a flag of convenience. The aircraft flying for Sudan is from Air Universal. their HQ is in.............Jordan!!!! There is a third Tristar op in Jordan called Air Rum. No prizes for guessing where the aircraft is registered.

Plenty of flags of convenience with that lot!
Weren't the freighters on the Antiguan register? Bit different adding freighters to a pax operation. Stay tuned! |
Hi Guys,
Don't I recall Star Air advertising for B747 flight crew recently, but no mention of any B747 ops amongst this post - seems to be all L1011 stuff, can anybody confirm this? Cheers |
Latest is that Star Air will operate the ex Caribjet freighter/s to Baghdad from AMM.
Bet the insurance company is happy! |
Insurance
Old Cessna
Bet they are happy... Premiums are just huge for flights like that and in many cases paid per flight... Provided that their insurance company knows where they fly:ooh: Cheers JJ |
L1011 Freighter at DUS
Anyone know if the old bus is still parked there? |
