Just asking !!! What sort of heater system was on the piper Malibu that emillano Sala was on ??? Was it a janitrol system !!! Was hoping maybe ex FE Collegues might know |
No,
From the POH: Air for cabin pressure is obtained from the engine turbocharger induction air system through two sonic venturi tubes. Bleed air is routed through the bleed air heat exchanger for the temperature conditioning to provide the desired cabin comfort level. |
Compressor bleed air from the turbos used for heating. Then heads through an air/ air heat exchanger where it uses exhaust gas to heat the bleed air or ram air to cool it. Temp control from cockpit uses a flapper valve to allow control of the temp by using exhaust or ram air mixture to heat or cool the bleed air from the turbos.
hope that helps |
