Cargologicair - any info?

I have just read that an ex-Air Bridge Cargo B744F has been registered in UK to this company. Seems it's being formed as a UK offshoot.
Any info on jobs etc?
Dave

B744F is suppossed to be in Marshalls having paint job. Expected to emerge next week with the G Registration.

Contact Volga Dnepr in STN and I am sure they will give you the correct telephone number.

Heading towards MME for training at the moment, as long as the fog keeps away.

Their own.
GSS AOC was finally surrendered in March after nearly a year without any planes.

Cargologicair

The website is up and running, it has some pilots, test flights done. It is just waiting for AOC before it starts Africa flights.

Story here.

So where is this airline's UK base going to be?

There were strong rumours a while ago that it was going to be at MAN, but I'm now hearing stories from sources (don't know how reliable they are) that it will be STN based.

Anyone know?

trancada 5th Dec 2015 21:47

I also heared that their planned base is STN.

Do you know how many aircraft are they planning to get ?

How can it’s possible to take so long to have an operator Certificate, when you have a 747 ready to fly on ground?

You apparently do not have any concept of the MANY facets of requirements and qualifications that precede an AOC. Training, Maintenance, Ground Handling, Safety, Dispatch, and Operations manuals and procedures must be developed and approved. People must be found to generate the manuals, become qualified as trainers, and find & train the workers. Then the inspectors have to observe and approve a round of proving flights performed by the trained & qualified workers.

It's a LOT more involved than buying an airplane and finding a couple pilots to fly it...

trancada 11th Dec 2015 03:54

You’re right.

Do you think it’s profitable to have a 747 on ground?

Dufo 11th Dec 2015 06:59

You can keep an AOC for up to six months without having any planes in it, as long as the management structure and financial flow is sufficient.
