DHL

Good day,

Anybody got any info for recruitment for DHL in Europe?

What are the requirements and profiles of the guy who got in?

Cheers.

deltahotel 5th May 2015 17:42

DHL Air UK or EAT/DHL?

pacificdream 6th May 2015 15:15

Apparently DHL UK based in Germany

deltahotel 6th May 2015 17:17

EAT/DHL is a D-reg airline based in Leipzig. DHL Air uk is a G-reg airline with HQ in the uk. All new joiners should be expected to be based in Leipzig. Hope this helps.

pacificdream 7th May 2015 00:12

Thank you.
Nothing about profil and requirements?

deltahotel 7th May 2015 10:28

Not involved in the recruiting process, so no. There's been plenty on this over the last few years on PPrune - have you tried the search function? Failing that a CV and covering letter to HR might be a good first step.

EAM 7th May 2015 12:00

I would say no hiring at DHK at the moment.

So if "DHL UK" pilots are based in germany, they must be under the german social security system?

deltahotel 7th May 2015 20:30

Indeed they are.

Have you thought about DHL Bahrain? Recruiting for experienced Cpts and FOs for the 757 fleet with 2 x 767s rumoured to be on their way. 20-30 hrs per month with good conditions.

Swept 10th May 2015 12:53

Good to see an intelligent reply focusing on criticising the Capital city instead of analysing the pros and cons of the package, coz I've got so may good things to say about Korea!

PPJN is pretty accurate but should include BD180 vehicle allowance, BD 800 accommodation allowance and the schooling allowance is 100% of school fees and registration fees for all kids schooled in Bahrain.

Not the best package in the ME but not bad for 30 hours flying a month!

pacificdream 11th May 2015 00:08

You need to be rated right?

Swept 11th May 2015 19:29

A Tr is preferable but throw an application in. There are a lot of guys who joined up with no TR and a few cadets as well.

deltahotel 20th Jan 2016 20:41

Part time is available.

There is a fixed 9/5 roster, though not enough lines for everyone who wants it.

Everyone starts on the 757. 767 conversions after a while, then once consolidated mixed fleet. 767 differences dependent on experience, so reluctant to quote a time.

It's a variety of patterns of varying amounts, but it's all spread through the year. Eg one month off three times per year. It's not the big blocks off that you get in charter because our business is not seasonally skewed like theirs.

DHL UK

Hey Guys,

Looking for some specific info about DHL UK (Leipzig base).
Can someone give me a specific idea about 757/767 roster, work environment and yearly wages?
I would appreciate any info if you can share.
Many thanks.

EAM 27th Jan 2016 20:05

Roster: Flex roster you work about 3-5 days and have 3-5 days off. If you are commuting you are usually able to come in on the first day of work and finish just after midnight and be home early morning on your last day.
Block roster available 9on 5off, same as above.

Money: Starts somewhere above 50K GBP, less in the first year if not rated.

767 not within the first 3-4 years.
Nice guys to work with.

deltahotel 27th Jan 2016 20:35

It will be Lej based, it will involve German social security.

It's pretty much all night work.

As EAM says, a good bunch.

ps suggest use of the search function. I know there's been a lot posted about DHL over the last couple of years.

deltahotel 30th Mar 2016 23:49

Think more about sector numbers. Most nights are two sectors, some are three, so a four night duty will be 8-12 sectors. Some standbys.

Hope this helps

deltahotel 3rd Apr 2016 12:41

No fixed pattern on the 767, so individual trips. But a new joiner would be on the 757 so you wouldn't have to worry yourself about that for a while.
