I frequently see the FED EX MD-11 charging up to Guangzhou from Sydney.....curious as to what it hauls between here (OZ) and Southern China?

I can understand a global logistics staging flight around the world....but what goes from here (Oz, Syd) to there (Sthrn China, Guamgzhou)

Just curious...Sydney Rock Oysters? Weren't oysters QF first freight from Syd to SIN.?? Other Seafood? Gold? Tooheys? Racehorses?

Maybe retuning defective Lithium Ion batteries under warranty?

That's how the airtruck industry keeps the crews in high regard.

Strange that allegedly the UK Royal Mail will not accept Li-Ion batteries for despatch, as I found out online when trying to source one for my geriatric I-pod.

Are the airfreight companies still shipping these bombs around, even when notac'd and documented and supposedly correctly packed?

Just a thought from a former SLF airframe manager.........................

Probably carries the same as any other FedEx flight. Oz flight routes into the CAN hub then routes into the US or EMEA for delivery.

What you want me to be specific? Express freight, mail and general ATA economy freight etc.

The Chinese have been buying a lot of fruit from Oz in advance of Chinese new year. Australia's main export destination is Asia and its major air freighted exports are pharmaceutical and medicinal products, fish/meat/veg/fruit, and gold.

Ever hear of premium Australian beef exports? 125,000 tonnes went to China in 2014.

Hey Loader,
You might also have heard we've also been importing a deal of fruit from China - infected with Hepatitis A.
(slightly off topic, I know.)
