CARGOLUX Aeromedical center

Hello everyone,

The selection process at Cargolux changed from IBF to Aeromedical center in Holland.

Any one did the assessment there? There is no information on internet about it.

Greetings,

Ridinghigh

Hi Ridinghigh,

I also have been called by AMC and got all the info for IBF, but no clue what to expect now.

When do you have your assessment?

Ciao,

Hello there.

Can I ask you how long was the notice when your received a date for the assessement? I am now waiting for an appointment from interpersonnel, been informed that it will be in the next few weeks. Is there enough time to request days off for it, or is it within a month from when you are contacted?

Are you using the skytest, wondering if I should buy it or not?

Regards, 1975

Don"t buy the Cargolux Skytest CD....this is intended for assessment at IBF in Saarlouis...

Morane1981 9th Jun 2014 19:20

So what do you recommend to prepare for AMC ?
Have you been in Amsterdam already?

Cheers

Ok, I was just wondering if the assesement in Saarlouis and with AMC are similar in nature, then the skytest will surely help.

How long is the wait from tha AMC tests until you get results?

Airaviator 29th Jul 2014 07:19

Hi guys,

Just be aware that psychotech tests can not be enormously different from one center to another. Therefore, should you be well prepared for Saarlouis, it will be ok for AMS.
However, note that I heard there is a "group exercice" (discussion) which is considered as "important" by CLX management.

Good luck

Hello guys,

Does any one have an update for the assesments in AMS?
What´s happening @ CV for the moment, is the recrutement still in full stop?
Latest inside info I had, is that they don't know who will fly all these A/C... Too many people in training?

I had the ready for assesment mail in late june, but still no news from Aeromedical center in AMS.

Brgds,

@1975
How did your assessment go?
Cheers

I did not pass, over all performance was good in the report, you obviously need to have everything avarage or above to pass. In the report they analize you as a character and as a proffesional pilot, which is very weird to read. I showed the report to a colleague of mine, whom I have been working with for many years, and he was absolutely speechless. Why? Because in the report there are some statements about my character and CRM abilities, that are the absolute reverse of what he says about me after years of operating together. Overall this experience was a good experience for me to go through, but I have to put serious questionmarks to this selection method, with regards to the above. Psychology is not a direct science, and to analyse a person in detail, and stamping him useless, after half a day of testing and an hour long interview is questionable. I am in a very good job right now and is happy with that, so I am not writing this as a bitter person.

Thanks 1975, very appreciated.
How did you prepare for the day? Do you think Skytest, even if the assessment is held in a different location, would be a valid trainer?

Is that an official cut off or rumour?

3 steps, 1st is GPSS in Amsterdam at AMC

Found this: ATTC

They said, test has 3 steps, 1st is Global Pilot Selection System GPSS (Global Pilot Stupid Stuff :yuk: ) in Amsterdam at AMC Aviation Medical Center. After passing the 1st step which takes 1 days, you've to wait about 4 weeks for the result. You'll be invited for another 1 or 2 days for team exercises, interview and sim screening. 1st step has capacity tests, some psychological stuff like questionnaires, role games (to play with a psychologist over there), stress tests like problem solving. Passing the 1st with good results will lead to a sort of bonus for the succeding steps, ... what ever that means.
