A330-200F Configuration question
Having been a Loadmaster on mainly Boeing fleets (and some other more "specialist" aircraft types) I have a question regarding ULD configuartions on the new Airbus A330-200F aircraft.
On the B747F, up to and including the -400F, there was the possibility of a mixed config in the nose of the main deck - A1, A2, B1 or A/B. A choice of two possibilities. Likewise on the lower deck. On my limited viewing of the A330-200F there would appear to be more available configs on the main deck - at least three, possibly four. Please correct me if I'm wrong. So, my question is - what is the most commonly used config? Do you usually use one or two configs, or more? I'm thinking along the lines of how it would/could be handled in a computerised weight and balance application which currently allows a choice of two available configurations. |

Thank you, Scoot.
I actually already have that info, hence my curiosity as to which configs are most commonly/generally used in practice. My mind thinks that most regular Operators would standardise on, say, twin rows of PMCs or PAJs, similar to other wide-bodies. |
Looking at the MASKargo site their A330F configuration used to be both a schematic plus text, but now it's only text as :
Main 22 pallets 293 m3 125" x 88" or 125" x 88" or 16/20 ft pallet or their equivalent sizes Lower 8 pallets 80 m3 125" x 88" x 64" 125" x 96" x 64" LD3 2 containers 8 m3 Bulk 1,200 kg 19.7 m3 Their "Maindeck" text is a bit strange as it says 125" x 88" or 125" x 88" 125" x 88" or 125" x 96" Main deck: Up to 57 t; Up to 337 m3; PAG Up to 23; PMC Up to 22 The TAMPA site gives a better overview with both visuals & text - see :http://www.tampacargo.com/downloads/...-200%20Ing.pdf MNG say they have one but don't seem to give the usual fleet info; Yangtze River Express is all in Chinese... Any help? Cheers G |
Most volume can be had with the config:
(from tail to nose ) 3 x PMC lateral 2 x PAJ side-by-side, longitudinal 18 x PMC side-by side, longitudinal |
