soycowboy 11th Jul 2013 14:27

AV

Second MD-11F due to two weeks, same source as first.
Zurich parked bird back in service Oct/Nov.
DC-10F, whisper it quietly, heading for knackers yard.

Skyliner shows the owner as Southern A/C Consultancy
.....which operates as a trustee company for non-US nationals owning N-registered aircraft (mostly Europe-based).

Z-ALT was registered N495DC on the 5th of July
.....and is to be ferried Liege-Bangor-Crestview Florida today July12th for scrapping (also according to Skyliner website). Let's see if that happens.

Yes non or late payment, shades of AV-ient me thinks :suspect:

Binthere 13th Dec 2013 08:33

Nothing changes then, only the logo on the aircraft. But in all honesty, are you surprised?

blazingskull 13th Dec 2013 12:32

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree

Absolutely not.

donewaiting 13th Dec 2013 13:59

so much for a new start

Well apart from money problems of which non payment of crew and ground staff is only one, there are redundancies in Amesbury, but oddly money seems to flow into 'special projects' .

blazingskull 25th Dec 2013 17:59

And Merry X-mas for all the employees waiting for their salary/money.

blazingskull 1st Jan 2014 22:54

...and a happy New Year!
Weather forecast has announced a very cold winter. Better save money...

blazingskull 14th Jan 2014 20:32

Just heard that AV had money issues threatening to stop business, short term. Possibly bankruptcy?

Can someone confirm/infirm?

donewaiting 16th Jan 2014 17:12

money woes

Well I wonder if the crew will be paid, ops latest in the firing line and Gatwick now expanding (where's the money for that). Amesbury a shooting range (they are picking them off).Courtesy of the new ex-Avient bunch !

plans123 17th Jan 2014 13:17

Some good guys are now looking for gainful employment.....:(

donewaiting 29th Jan 2014 19:48

Doom and Gloom

As the title suggests late payment of salaries (straight after administrators leave) methinks they maybe up to their old tricks! watch this space :(

taes8484 5th Feb 2014 16:42

Is there any more update on this?

I heard they have some of the MD-11 parked in exotic locations to avoid impounding in Europe?

Charlie_Fox 6th Feb 2014 15:01

An AV Cargo MD11F took off before us from Liege on Monday so there's at least one still flying.

doublestory 6th Feb 2014 15:41

One left Liege this afternoon, the other back in tomorrow morning. All running fine, but thank you for asking.

donewaiting 14th Feb 2014 18:48

money money money

Sounds like money is being sorted out especially crew (unless anyone knows different),sad that some good people lost their jobs though.
I'd say watch this space as I'd be surprised if this particular leopard has changed its spots!:=

plans123 28th Feb 2014 18:36

I'm hearing the Ops Guys still haven't been paid........
