ACG - AOC Revoked?
Hi all,
Anyone else heard this rumour? |
No.
-filler- |
The LBAs list of AOCs as of th 15th of April still has ACG on it.

The AOC would have been revoked today so the list below is correct for its date of publish. They have only operated one flight today and that was to return an aircraft to EDDF. All aircraft are now parked in EDDF.

Does anybody know the reason for the revokation?

Nothing unusual on their website, no press releases regarding this matter and things appear to be running normally again: Welcome to AIR CARGO GERMANY
Was it a quick warning shot in the direction of Russia (Volga Dnepr is a major shareholder) not to mess with overflight rights as a retaliation for Germany's role in the whole Cyprus debacle in which some shady Russians lost a lot of money? |
@FrontRunner
I see a rolling banner on their website, "Temporary interruption of flight operations +++ »»» click here |" Archive |
Thanks Tom, I missed that. :ok:
I immediately went to "press and media/ACG press releases," then there is no mention of any temporary interruptions. :8 |
...they are now (19th) off the LBAs list - no AOC.

Bit old now, but three aircraft are still parked out at Frankfurt.
Local press 3 May: http://http://www.airliners.de/air-c...neustart/29558 I put it through the Google translator for you: 'The cargo airline Air Cargo Germany (ACG), based on the Hunsrück-Hahn Airport is in financial distress. The management decided in consultation with the shareholders to file for bankruptcy at the District Court of Bad Kreuznach, ACG said Friday in Hahn and confirmed by a report of Mainz "Allgemeine Zeitung". The goal is to restructure the company and resume flight operations target. This had already ACG 18 Set April, the Federal Aviation Authority had suspended the operating permit. ACG claims to own four Boeing 747-400. 49 per cent of the airline holds the Russian Volga-Dnepr Group Logistics. According to earlier information of the already crisis-Hahn Airport accounted for in the first three months of this year, about 20 percent of freight on tap at ACG. The Rhineland-Palatinate state government had made a pledge for ACG this week. The Federation of German aviation industry criticized the project as a distortion of competition.' The one glaring error the translator made was the bit about '20 percent of freight on tap' which should have read '20 percent of freight at Hahn', the word for tap being Hahn:) |
