non0 26th Nov 2010 19:48

hey whitex
are you sure about that?

whitecross 26th Nov 2010 21:45

Dear Non0

100% true

All applicants attending the initial interview in Hong Kong are solely responsible for their personal travel and accommodation expenses.

On arrival at Cathay City please go to the CX City reception desk at the ground floor entrance of CX City and confirm your attendance. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before your scheduled interview time. You will be directed to the AHK offices.

1. Could you (or anyone in the know..) tell us if the tech exam is type specific, or just general stuff?
2. Sim in the classic. I guess you mean the 74 ? Same thing for A300-600 applicants ?

Thanks a loooooooooot for your help !

They will pay for your ticket and hotel room if you're asked back to the second interview.

whitecross 28th Nov 2010 17:52

Firstmate pls can you PM if you did the 1st interview,
Thanks

X-Centric 29th Nov 2010 07:52

"JAA General ATP Questions" covers a whole multitude of possibilities. Does anyone have the exact 20 questions asked, please? I've been out of aviation college & flying for a number of years now & I honestly could be amiss in some areas

Could someone who works for AHK let us know what the package is for first officers, time to upgrade etc., etc.

Air Hong Kong Interview

Anyone going for an interview in Jan 2011. Would appreciate info about the first interview? Anyone going please feel free to PM me!

Cheers:ok:

I received information from a friend about the salary at Air HongKong:

FIRST OFFICER
Under Training = 30,000.00 dollar
After Training = 46,000. dollars

CAPTAIN
Under Training = 40,000 dollars
After Training = 69,000 dollars

You do receive 46.00 per hour after 45 hours for CAPTAIN and 32.00 dollars per hour after 45 hours for FO. However, it is rare that you will actually fly more than 45 hours per month.

No housing allowance (which means that even your salary will not be enough to cover your rent in HKG or Singapore).

Is it just me or does this pay seem really low for a 747 pilot? Actually, it seems comical.

Maybe I'm wrong and this is now decent Terms and conditions for a pilot?

Fly4Fun 20th Dec 2010 11:34

Maybe thatīs the pay rate for the VIRTUAL Air Hong Kong pilots :E
