"What are the current load factors?"

How do you define load factors on a cargo aircraft?

Are we full? Usually. Are we carrying maximum payload? Very rarely.

BA have just bought half size pallets which fill in the "gap" that was by the loading door. They are using them on many if not most flights.

On another point, there is a rumour!!! that we MAY keep one of the -400's to do additional work.

With a 250 million pound loss for the last quarter (and 8 consecutive quarters of losses) BA is not in a strong position to double their dedicated cargo fleet. FR8Dog - If you spent anytime in the MIA training center in the past 2 years (PC or PT) you would have known that the first 3 -8F's going to GSS and Atlas getting the 3 -400F's back was the plan all along. Lunch with Flynn or Carlson not required.
I have been at Atlas for 12 years, you? Yes we have known of the first 3 -8's going to GSS, my comment was addressed to the 3 400's coming back to us.

I work in the training center, this is just a rumor as far as the a/c coming back to our fleet. Not happy with my answer, give B.M. a call, see what he tells you.

Where do GSS airplanes fly? Is there a route map available?

Are we talking the standard Dubai, HKG, BKK, JFK, Mumbai routings? Where will the new 747-800s fly?

"After all, BA is a large mature airline, so they should be able to supply some of their own FD crew."
411a. BA may be a mature airline but that doesn't mean anything when I comes to the secondees that join GSS. Maybe they should go back to BA to continue their training.

Errrh, obviously you don't realise that 411A is no longer with us?
