Avient in trouble again
I hear Avient have more problems - this time their second MD11 damaged on the ground in Nairobi.
|
Is it bad luck or bad ops? Iam starting to think!!!
|
Understand that the MD11F departed from Nairobi this morning to Frankfurt.
Amazed that a puncture hole repair to the aircraft skin forward of the rear pressure bulkhead can be achieved within 24hrs in Nairobi? The benefit of flying under a flag of convenience .....?:ugh: |
If the repair was a standard SRM repair & not to large it could easily be repaired in 24hrs in Nairobi by Kenya Airways who have both the manpower & facilities.
|
Jeez...
...that could be a long time to be wearing O2 nosebags! :}
|
The aircraft departed LGG last night and has just this minute arrived back here in LGG at time 14:35 local so one would assume ops normal.
|
Plenty of excellent maintenance available in NBO, as those who know NBO would know
|
Any conclusions yet from their MD11 crash yet?

Z-BVT Maintenance
Although on Zimbabwian register. Which MRO does the routine schedule checks on this bird, and what maintenance schedule is she on.

Move along please - no news here :bored:

Z-BVT Maintenance
I have no doubt the Avient maintenance facility has been thoroughly checked out by the Zim CAA safety oversight team - unless they are still busy compiling the crash report in Shanghai?
|
. . . the Zim CAA safety oversight team . . .
That'll be another bag of money then and an opportunity to go shopping in London. |
