Turboprop freighter pay scales
Hello All,
I am a turboprop Captain with a European cargo Airline and I am considering relocating for personal reasons and as such I am interested in what other turboprop cargo airlines pay their crew. Obviously I have been able to find out the basic salary from PPJN, but would anyone be able to advise me what the pay increments are each year. In particular I am interested in Air Contractors, Farnair, Westair Sweden and West Atlantic. I would appreciate any help. Thanks |
Well if you are turboprop Captain at age 22, you are with Atlantic already, aren't you?

Sorry no, I am using a friends log in as I'm useless at this posting stuff

Hi there,
I was chatting to an Atlantic Crew member today (Westatlantic/I don't think they know what they are yet!) He said that there is NO incremental pay scale with commitment to the company. Unfortunate as I think he likes it there, I think the Electra Captains are averaging 60k ish but ATP topping out around 48K. Hope this helps. I'd be interested to see what other companys are offering their crew. Cheers Mas |
Atlantic is not worth considering, I've spoken to many of their guys, not happy, no money and no leave. When the market improves they are in trouble.

Ahh not good then, sounds like they need to improve their conditions quickly. I've heard the ATP fleet is still growing, I dont think they can afford to loose crew. Do others have incremental pay scales?

a pair of first time posters with "friends" in or around atlantic?
Wonder who you guys work or worked for??? |
Atlantic is not worth considering, I've spoken to many of their guys, not happy, no money and no leave. When the market improves they are in trouble. They'll always have a relatively high turnover of staff for all the above reasons. If your mates aren't happy they can always leave . . . . oh hang on, there's no jobs out there! In that case wind your necks in and get on with it as there will always be plenty of folk out there to take their place . . . . |

When the economy gets moving again you will either have to work harder than you've ever worked before to make up for the waves of resignations or pay back the hefty bond, 45k on the Electra! The only people who will be left will be our management pilots who let's face it; are never going to get/hold down jobs elsewhere |
