Logistic Air

You may come across positions available for this Airline (?). It is owned and operated by Kevin Cooyar and his sons Sami and Vandi.

If you have any intention of going there, do yourself a favor and type up your own contract and FAX it to them and see if they will sign it. They do pay the lowest of all the contracts out there and for the Haj they did not pay any per Diem. We were promised that we could be paid in any method we wished, check, cash, money order, or foreign bank. After we get there and the first pay day passes with no pay as promised, we were then told that we would be paid by wire transfer to our banks only, and those that do not have an international bank, would receive a 1099 for the money.

The owner Kevin is a pilot (?) and fancies himself as a check airman (?). He will sit in your cockpit on the ground and during T/O and Landing. He will scream and yell throughout the flight and sterile cockpit times and constantly tell you just how sh***y of a pilot you are and that you know nothing about the aircraft. If you go there he will entertain you with his total stupidity, lack of knowledge of the aircraft, regulations and absolute lack of knowledge of the role and practices of a check airman.

His sons (one is a private pilot) will call your fuel loads, tell you the altitudes to fly at, constantly mess with the engineer's panel and decide if the weather is ok to fly. You will constantly be belittled by Kevin and snitched on by his sons. There are standard operating procedures, but when they do not even know them and you call Kevin on them, he will threaten to change them and scream that he has the power to do so. They operate under Niger registration and fly constantly with inoperative equipment that can not be covered under the MEL.

It is not known for sure but it is believed that Kevin does not have a current medical and may not have a current simulator check as PIC. He has operated with full knowledge of a F/O in excess of 67 years of age! He has no regard for safety and as such no regard for your well being.

In a nut shell, this guy is an accident just waiting to happen. I will say that the only thing that has saved them from having any incidents recently is the fact that thye do have some good crew members. They also have some very questionable crew members that really do not belong in the aircraft in any seat.

Go if you wish and good luck, just know in advance that you can not trust anything that they tell you. Nothing is their fault and everything will be blamed on you. They are not honorable people, get it in writing before you leave.

Me? I had the satisfaction of sitting with Kevin and telling him just what an A**h**e he was - literally and then telling him to go and commit a personal violation on his lower extremity. Yes, I quit but I did not hold a word back from this raving lunatic.

Where is the FAA though?
Nowhere...I guess you missed the part about Niger registration.
Didn't see as many of their aircraft on the last Haj as in past years...or so it seemed.

JFM747

Good post and absolutely SPOT ON. I am surprised that you managed to remain as nice as you where on the post. I've seen Mr Cooyar (Nice name change from Farsi) in action yelling and shouting at his crews in various places around the world. The most unprofessional lot of muppets I've ever come across. They make Orient Thai and Phuket look like 1st class operators :}

They seem to change AOC and state of registration more ofthen that some change people change socks. Seems that every year a new reg is in place. Could it be unpaid fees or just overstaying one's welcome? Go figure but it is a shady company to say the least.

Don't touch with 12ft pole. PM me for more info

Looks like your feeling got hurt by letting you go which was resulted from getting stopped when you almost taxi the aircraft into the grass then again on the same flight again you were stopped from landing the aircraft with Takeoff flaps instead of Landing flaps !!!! just a few between all other short comes, I suggest you do what you are doing best and train K9s and stop trying to be a pilot specially a B747 pilot, may be this was the reason Orient Thai washed you out even before you start flying this past Hajj, I came across this too late, definitely you did not deserve what you got paid for.

Shame on you so call Pilot Check Airmen, you know nothing about B747 or anything related to Aviation, you are nothing but an imbecile, JFM747 tells the true you are so fake can even use your real name (Kevin) what a joke

BelArgUSA 20th Feb 2009 07:34

To the JFMs and the Protozos or equivalents.

Sorry, if you kids need air carrier operators to change your diapers.
Takes a little more than a quick 747 rating to operate such planes.
There are pilots in Pprune who know Kevin.
They know him as a competent pilot, with other airlines in the past as well.
And respect his worldwide experience on the 747 Classics.
xxx
One thing Kevin does (I know his reputation), he pays ON TIME all he owes.
And a verbal contract with him stands as written on stone.
As the owner/operator of his own air carrier, he can tell you how to fly.
Call him chief pilot, check captain, instructor or flight standards manager.
After all, he is the one who pays you for performing as he specifies.
He is a tough boss... yes he is. Some idiots like you require such.
xxx
The "non-sked" operations are a small world... everyone knows everyone.
And you have shot yourself in the foot...
Continue to impress Ppruners with your advanced aeronautical knowledge.

Happy contrails

Logistic Air

Well Kevin got what he deserved, no contract this year. Sorry for the guys looking for work but delighted this imbecile won't be making money this year. I wish morons like this would keep out of aviation.
I believe Orient Thai are looking for classic pilots.
:ok:Safe flying & good luck with your aviation endeavors.

classicpilot 16th Oct 2009 13:41

On drugs?

My God, are you on drugs or is this Kevin? Because professional pilots that can actually fly airplanes know this bozo & you are way of the mark my delusional fellow pilot. I can give you a list of good pilots this guy has p****d off.
:sad:Take care & I hope you don't fly with your head in the clouds.

Taltop 20th Oct 2009 19:05

Sweety, there is no gras in Jeddah nor in Nigeria, we, so called professionals, sorry, believe JFM747 as he should be experienced
(you hired him) and sounds very sofisticated in his article.
:ok:

You know there are a lot kind of people; we say, man, half man and bla-bla people. If you don't risk your own money in a business like aviation today...so if you don't have this kind of problems.....than I think that you can chatter
