TNT and the USA ?

I understand TNT Airways are looking to operate in / out of the USA. I would assume its origin EU but do not know the specifics or plans.

Can anyone shed some light on this ? Assuming its the 747F-400.

thanks

Not a chance. No a/c available. Either working or leases to EK. Possible wet lease but why would TNT take on FedEx, UPS et al head to head:confused:

Wasn't there some talk of UPS buying TNT some time ago? ? ?

TNT is being directly challenged by Fed Ex in Europe, new routes and CDG to EWK. Plus there have been rumors that FDX is looking into TNT. I think they better watch their own backyard before trying to head to head with a 5000 lb gorilla. They'll get eaten alive.

layinlow,

For the sake of clarity, who are you refering to as the 5000lb gorilla?
Surely TNT is not that big??

TNT is much larger in Europe than FedEx is in terms of market share.
