European Air Transport/DHL interview

Does anyone have any info regarding an interview for DHL at Brussels?
I am a Flight Engineer attending Zaventem soon.

johnnyDB 6th Feb 2008 10:23

They need them sooooo badly, they'll hire you if you show up in your PJ's

Sitting Bull 6th Feb 2008 16:29

Just out of interest: are they also desperate regarding captains?

mrgoaround 7th Feb 2008 09:44

dear Grofaz (grosster feld...;aller zeiten???...)they (EAT) are very desperate for captains indeed ...6 months contract (4 months training ...typerating+ 2 months flying )...then 90% of the guys go (voluntarily)...eat has trouble keeping their troops ...up untill two years ago, people tended to stay ...the 8on/6 off roster (well, in fact it's a 9/5 ...but eat likes to call it an 8/6) was appreciated ...but remember, tax in Belgium is about 55 to 60% ...so crews opted for a more taxfriendly environment (even the belgians)...they fled!

Sitting Bull 7th Feb 2008 13:12

Dear mrgoaround

What about their move to Leipzig...will everything continue to be "Belgian" or will it become "German" (tax wise)?

By the way: what do you mean with the german phrase? I donīt speak German and also couldnīt find it in the dictionary?

alatnariver 7th Feb 2008 14:23

@GROFAZ and off topic:

The word "GROEFAZ", just add an "E" to your nick, was used during the very dark years of German history between 1933 and 1945 as a pseudonym for Hitler.

GROEFAZ sounds not nice in German, also this word does not really exist.

People opposing Hitler, yes some did not enough but there were some at least, used this pseudonym when talking about Hitler. Actually the word is an abreviation for Groesster Feldherr Aller Zeiten in English something like "the best commander of all times". Using the word which sounds ugly in German being an inoffical positiv abreviation was at least not illegal and allowed people to express their opposition.

It's hard to explain for non German speakers, but I tried

off the topic:

Dear alatnariver

Thanks for the explanation...I didnīt know about this and hope nobody is offended. I will change my name a.s.a.p.

Hey guys! I am going on a interview on the 25 of feb. Can anyone tell me what the roster is like and what is going to happen with Leipzig?? As I understand Belgian tax are not very good

mrgoaround 12th Feb 2008 15:03

Dear Grofaz...well if you're not German you shure did choose a (not) so nice nickname ...grofaz (grosster feldherr aller zeiten ...or biggest fieldstrategist off all times) was a nickname given by wehrmachtsoldiers in WW2 to nobody else than A. H.

Immelmann1979 22nd Feb 2008 07:37

so about german taxsystem

So now we know the Belgian system is quite unfriendly towards its taxpayers, how is it in Germany?

Robert Jan 22nd Feb 2008 14:44

Unless you're totally desperate :}, lonely :ugh: or want to support a bankrupt State, stay (TAX reasons) out of Wi(n)dow Dressed Belgium.

classicart 8th Mar 2008 14:42

does anyone know the email address to send a resume to and if an FAA license would be accepted at EAT?

CaravanDriver 10th Mar 2008 17:56

It is not possible to fly for EAT with a FAA license, you must have a JAA license if you want to fly with us.
