Hi all

I'm after a contact address for EAT

Actually, what I really need is an approved B727 sim in Europe (cant find one)
I'm a 727-200 captain with AEA ( DHL's carrier in Auckland NZ) and will be converting my ATPL to a JAA, but need to do the IR test on this type.

Does EAT have their own sim?...or is there no avenue left to find one in Europe ?

If not...any advice?

Not any more!! It Burnt out and was removed in september or october.

Nolight........... Try Swift Air (DHL/ Spain) They fly the 72s in the Gulf with European Crew. Or try new post in Middle East forum.

I have been working on this situation for several months. The Brussels Sim was the last operationally JAA approved sim in Europe. There is one that is commercially operational in Miami.

CAE assure me that the Brussels Sim will not be brought back online even though they have the kit at Burgess Hill to repair it.

There is also a Sim in Denmark, but it isn't very good.

The best 6 axis sim is in Bournemouth, UK. I know that some non-JAA airlines are using it but there are no plans to bring that into JAA operational status either.

Swift Air use their B727 aircraft for recurrency and although it's not ideal, the Spanish CAA has approved this.

What will happen when they need to renew type ratings is, at 24th December, anybody's guess.

it is true that the sim in Brussels had a fire in the computer section. But I believe that It has been repaired. The sim in Copenhagen was old to begin with, and was never any better than motion on pitch.

As for Swift Air, I'm sure that the Spanish CAA would approve just about anything,

Hmmm. They worked fast then - it wasn't repaired last week when I visited CAE. What date will it be operational then? As for the Spanish CAA - you're probably right they'll approve anything if your name is Juan or something.
