West Atlantic 767

I wonder who the unnamed customer is, who signed a contract with West Atlantic - any ideas anyone?

"Cargo Facts believes that West Atlantic will take its first 767-200 in the first quarter of 2014 for a contract already signed with an unnamed customer."

ATSG looks to Europe with a 25% stake in West Atlantic - CargoFacts.net

Maybe Mr. Viktor Bout has been released from NYC Court Jail. Boeing 767-200 can carry on with lots of crates of firearms waiting to be delivered in any region of the world, meaning Africa and Middle East of course

the UPS contract with Star Air has to be the obvious reason ... but that could well be 2+2 =5

that said the single unit could be the TNT one in Stansted

With the one 767 due early next year and more due after that, will NPT be looking for Loadies?

I doubt it, but worth keeping your ears to the ground....

Several carriers are bidding to replace Star Air in 2014.
Amongst them ASL group( Air Contractors), Farnair and West Atlantic. Basically, nearly all European Cargo Airlines are preying on this contract.

So West Atlantic is very far from winning. There are other Airlines with closer ties and better relations with UPS, including Farnair and Bluebird...

So wrong, despengue!
Farnair is already out. Don't know if Bluebird were ever requested to give an offer. Last bidding round consists of ASL, ABX/West, Atlas Air/GSS and Star Air.

Any News on this yet? I believe a decision by UPS to be made public by end of this month.
Have my hunch but things change so quickly in this freight business.

Good to see a Freight Operator preparing for business.

UPS decides for Westair/West Atlantic ????

Had an interesting conversation with a West Air Cew on Monday. Apparently they were told by management that West Atlantic/West Air won the bidding for the UPS contract - any confirmation on this???? Could be nice to have some 767 opportunities in the future

Is there anybody that could give me some more information on the West Atlantic 767 fleet? Would like to know more about their routes, base and salary.
Can find info on 737 but nothing about 767. Can anybody help me on this one?
Thx.
