As far as I.know he built the sim himself. I believe he got the plywood panels that made it up as some sort of kit. The computer bits were all pretty expensive. He had about thirty k in it.

It was offered to a guy looking at buying the sim and running CPL training for 80K and using the AGL Seneca. Bet that chap is breathing a sigh of relief!
Loyalty, to someone who's just gone bang for a reported 1.5-2 million and is blatantly using other peoples money and borrowing from everyone? Fairly questionable business practice if you ask me, he clearly kept AGL afloat using funds he was never going to be able to repay.
I'm looking forward to my trip to Blackpool now, should make an interesting conversation.

You are at cross purposes...The sim you are talking about is a 757 sim that he built in his garage.
The sim we are on about is the FNPTII that was used for CPL/IR training, at the now "fu*cked"...FA Blackpool.

I believe the fnpt ii is "owned" by the airport under a chattel mortgage. Basically due to monies owed. One of the other schools is using it, so they may have purchased it or be paying the airport to use it.
Tony Savage ran the school at Blackpool for a while, under a sort of franchise arrangement, but I dont think the arrangement ever gave him any chance to make any money, and was another elaborate plate spinning scheme to try and keep the school afloat, so he made a wise move and handed it back.

Goodness, what a lot of nasty vitriol is pouring forth. Surely a close rival to the catholic churchs handling of abuse. Hasn't this all been said elsewhere before, example :..... buyer beware, do business with people you like, do business with people you TRUST, do your due diligence checks,, dont cry over spilt milk, horse has bolted, lie down with lions......
Surely if you look into someones eyes there will be a clue. Interviewers do it, police do it, instinct works. My young granddaughter will spend a lot of time looking into another mans eyes....to make that silent judgement....can i really trust this person. Instinct at work and praises be for that.
There are clues out there which nature intended us to find.

Koi, thanks for the advice, a bit late for all the people owed money, employees included, and even later for the poor girls he groomed and possibly abused.

Cargo makes huge profit compared to SLF. No cabin crew is just purrfectt.
