Question Polar Routes - Request for Information

Dear Sirs

My name is Djones Loch, I知 a student of Aeronautical Sciences at (PUCRS) in Brazil and also a Private Pilot, almost coming to the end of the Commercial Pilot course with Multi Engine and IFR rating. This year will be the last one in university so I知 starting to work on my graduation research paper.
The subject will be Polar Routes and the peculiar operation, risks, and the challenges of the daily goal of airliners to navigate and operate in such hostile and critic area of the globe. I知 planning to cover some important points like ETOPS, low temperature fuel management, Cosmic Radiation, communications, navigation, airplane certification to operate in this kind of route and environmental issues.

I知 here to see if someone has any material about Polar Route Operations? I致e already found some material on internet from Boeing痴 website and a video about Polar Operations with an Air Canada triple seven flying from Toronto Pearson to Hong Kong. By the way it痴 a great video!

I also would like to see if there is a pilot or maybe someone linked to the operational area of an airline that operates in this kind of route and that have access to some material or information about polar operations (like fuel consumption regarding this kind of operation comparing with a conventional operation, flying a non-polar route) to help me find some data and material to serve as a base to my paper, I would really appreciate the help. If there is any question about the work I値l be glad to answer it.

I also would like to know if there is an airline, maybe Qantas or Aerolineas, that flies near the south pole, maybe in a route from South America to Oceania?

Fell free to send me a private message.
Thanks for your attention guys. Have a good day and fly safe, always!!
