Just noticed the same: 37 A300 are cancelled.
Roughly 37x A300 cost at least the same money like 10x A380...
So it sounds like a pure advertisement deal for Airbus rather than turnover/profits improvement.

With all those old withered DC 8`s , and A300 B4`s on hand , and needing an MD 11 replacement , you`d think the other big 3 cargo carrier , DHL , would be expected to announce A380 orders as well , if anything , to compete on similar routes .
The cost for cargo on specific routes to specific major markets will undoubtedly fall with all this spare capacity , which will only create a greater thirst for time sensitive delivery of goods. Tough market to be in , even tougher now for any new entrants. In the meantime , well done UPS.
