Does Cathay pay for common law wives to go out to Hong Kong for the second interview? or is it just wives.

Yes.

When CX calls you to go to HKG, let them know you wish to bring your spouse (common law). Show her around the big smoke so she can see what you're getting into....;)

No exactly correct. For S/O positions, yes. For CXF F/O (based outside of HKG), no.

Please shed some light on the qualifications of the current S/O and F/O interviewees..

What are their average Total Time, Multi, Turbine, post-secondary education, etc...
