EASA or UK CAA conversion to HKCAD
Hey
What is the conversion like for EASA CPL with ATPL knowledge to convert to HKCAD? Is it all the ATPL exams again? I have a UK CAA CPL based on the EASA since I got the license pre-Brexit. Will that help since they are using some UK suppliers for the books? Just want to know how difficult the conversion is going to be. |
Unless you hold an ATPL/ATP you’ll need to complete all the exams, I believe it’s 14 or 16 from memory?

That is kind of rough. Do you know what is the current process? I thought CX just shipped the DESO to FTA directly to do the conversion but for some reason, it's initially CX city.

Anything with UK on it is no longer recognised by the CAD/China post Brexit, certainly engineering wise, so I guess the same for you guys. Even though the whole engineering license system was based on UK CAA and then easa, when we renew our UK CAA issued EASA licence that then becomes a UK issued part 66, no longer recognised by CAD!

in that case I'm glad I used my EASA instead of the UK CAA license. Well I know a guy that is using the UK license, he might have a rude awakening. I guess I will find out soon.
Do anyone know what is Aircraft Technical and Performance (Type) exams? |
