Hello to everyone! I have my DESO Final Assessment in HK with CX on August this year.
Could anyone helpme giving me info about what to expect in the two days assessment? Thank you very much |
Cx deso after have attended roadshow
Hi folks!
I am just having hundreds of questions that from my point of view could be easily responded by ANY one who ever have been through the same assessment process with CX. 1st- Does SO will be granted a type rate? 2nd- How long after roadshow do they usually contact to go further(in case of any luck)? 3rd- in case of joining HK Express as SO, their training facilities and procedures are the same? What’s the salary difference? And when would be give to you the opportunity to choose? 4th- How easily it is to swap (or choose during the assessment) to go to the narrow bodies fleet? How it works? 5th- Realistic feedback of joiners with around 550TT. 6th- I’ve heard in one of those forums someone saying they need around 30 weeks of training for DESO lol 😝 but at the roadshow we were told about approximately 2 months maybe 3 maximum. Any info about it? and last but not least I have a suggestion to have a WhatsApp group for all of us with the same questions and attending the interviews and joining process. |

Sim check definitely. They stick to the profile, there’s nothing unexpected, but most guys who fail just can’t keep up with the speed and momentum of the aircraft. See if you can do a prep session, even on the A320, before your sim check.

Hey, anyone got their sim check in early July? I've just received the profile yesterday
Also, any advice here on what to expect for the panel interview? Cheers! |
Great news! Please share your experience with the previous process, interviews, online assessment if any. Wish you all the best and highly recommend some jet training at any local SIM if you have this kind of access and have no jet experience. Good lucky and lets rock!

Hey guys I have attended the Seattle roadshow for CX and have been invited to HK for Sim Eval and Assessments this august. For those who have some experience in what to expect, I would really appreciate it if you guys can shed some light on what to expect for this and the best way to prep for the SIM eval. Much appreciated.
Thank you guys! |
Hello! Would you mind letting me know as well if any Group Chat does end up being created? I'm still working on my CPL MEIR and plan on applying to the DESO position next summer! Thanks.

Thank you guys! May I ask what your TT is? And what Type Rating(s) do you have? I’m aware that CX changed their DESO to TT1000 preferred, I’m just wondering if DESO has actually gotten so competitive that they’re hiring mostly pilots with 1000 hours or more and barely hiring anyone fresh out of flight school with 250 hours. Thanks! |
