Anyone have any news of the Aus tax situation?

What kind of information are you looking for?

I hardly think they've lowered the maximum marginal rate or done away with the Medicare levy, which means you're hitting 50% marginal with any proper job.

Is there any change in the offing (as you're posting from Oz, wouldn't YOU have all the news)?

Sorry, I guess that was a pretty dumb question.

What I meant was to ask whether the Australian based crew have any news about the changes to the expat tax laws that now require tax to be paid in Australia as well as Hong Kong.
