The DFO's maths

If the A50 hasn't yet done 100 sectors and has broken down 3 times, how does it have a dispatch rate of 98%?

She must have been using the crew establishment calculator when she worked that one out.:ugh:

She has only counted the AOG out of Manila?

I think because it can have a problem, get fixed and still be dispatched. The latest problem, it did not get fixed, it did not get dispatched and remained in TPE. So once in just under 100 flights. Probably about a 98% dispatch rate.

Dispatch Reliability is defined as the percentage of departures that leave within a specified period of a scheduled departure time. Is the aircraft ready to fly? Ninety-eight percent dispatch reliability is a standard that many aircraft operators achieve

technical dispatch reliability
The ratio of the number of flights delayed because of technical faults to the total number of flights, expressed as a percentage. Delays caused by other reasons are not to be taken into account for this calculation.
