What's best iPad device for manuals ?

I agree with betpump... What difference does it make if we look at Navtech charts on a screen or a piece of paper. And who wants to know?
|
Because you have ALL the charts at a fingertip, backlit, zoomable, annotatable - shall I go on?

Just a question asking if you use any devices for charts. Alot of airlines use ipads/tablets now so just seeing if Cathay use them as of yet. Sorry if I upset you by asking a silly question. |
Class 1/2 devices (iPads etc)? No! Many airlines already use ipads for their charts, BA, LH etc. |
HKA already using it for several years and now upgrading to iPad-air for each pilots with spare pad in briefing office in case....
|
Will they use them, was in the question. The answer is yes.
That still means you are wrong. |

I assume you don't buy anything made in China, not even the saddle for your high horse?
|
Flew with a pilot on the 744 who wanted to embrace the paperless flight deck etc. Refused to get any charts out and briefed off his iPad. Only problem being he mounted it on the side window and then briefed you by speaking to his screen and all you saw was the back of his head! Quite weird really but that's progress for you. Nice guy but was it really progress.............
