Learn from others mistake.

Learn from others mistake.

If you still consider working on G’s to help the hand that strangles you, learn from others…
Had a Capt. helping them on a G, was promised a First Class seat home after the duty.
Surprise, surprise the return flight is full with no seat for him.
Young S/O talked into helping them on his G. In return he will be home one day sooner and it is the same duty credit hours. At sign on it has all changed and the poor fellow end up operating a pax flight, straight onto DT travel for min rest to DT on a freighter around Europe and operate the last sector…he end up back in Hong Kong one day later then his original roster, and less duty credit.

If you deal with the Devil…………………

Isn't the lesson to be learned that if you do a deal with rostering/crewing to help them out you must get the deal in writing?

Everyboady do the G day thing to avoid IA!

If everyboady does the G day thing it'll be more effective thus we might beable to avoid Ind Action!
(refer to Crew shortage lost opportunies post 13)
Don't make life more difficult for all of us in the long run guys!
By making short term gains ie extra day off & alittle more pay..

Work as a team come on!!!

It’s called guerilla warfare. :E:cool:

Don’t announce Contract Compliance, just do it. Don’t miss an opportunity, if you get one, take it. :ok:

Work within the confines of your contract and the AFTL’s, no more, no less.:D

No discretion, but make it look like you tried. If a change of duty, sign in on your original sign in time as your FDP will start or you get 12 hours rest. :D

I know many don’t have the stomach for industrial action (ST knows this). What will be industrial action? Going sick, PRA’s, not working G’s, don’t answer your phone? Some just pi$$ their pants at the thought.:=:{:ugh:

The people that want IA are doing it now and don’t have to be told. Those that can’t stomach it are not.

Just do it and they will not know where to focus their anger. If you announce it, they will.:(

volarecantare 12th February 2008 16:17

Bloggs,

haven't you not announced it???

Mr. Bloggs 13th February 2008 01:16

Oh dear, I let the cat out of the bag.:{

Self induced 40 lashes.:ouch:

Enjoy your G days. Take what pay you have at this time. Don't try to enhance it by 'helping us out' because you sell yourself short and are likely to be screwed too.
Watch as The Management strategy crumbles with nobody to blame except his/their own arrogance.
Quite bizarre actually when you read that a solution to this self induced crewing crisis is to fire people.
Apart from a huge loss of face (CX sacking pilots to save money AGAIN) it wouldn't take the Press long to ask why we are sacking people and grounding flights at the same time.
Just ENJOY YOUR G DAYS.
Your head is below the parapet. You are not engaging in any form of IA.
THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT.
Watch and enjoy.....................
