Tailor HKG
I'm looking for a tailor to make me a Suit for my brothers wedding.
Does any one have some good recommendatons. |
For day-to-day shirts/trousers/suits I use www.jantzentailor.com (in Central)
Top Range....you cannot beat "A-Man Hing Cheong" in the Mandarin Oriental (not cheap but if you get a classic style you'll have it for ever). M10, Mezzamine Floor, Mandarin Oriental 5 Connaught Road, Central, Hong Kong Ph: (852) 2522 3336 If youre just after shirts then Ascot Chang Ph: (852) 2523 3663 and David's Shirts Ph: (852) 2524 2979 are v.good too (both in Central) Steer clear of the Indian touts around the Star Ferry! Completely !!!!e & smell like cabbage. |
I just had a suit made by Nita Fashions at 16 Mody Rd TST. Tel 2721 9990.
Lovely job, fits like a glove. I'd use them again. They are Indian and the actual Tailor was Chinese. :) |
What about the world famous Sam's!!
|
I've been very happy with http://www.taipanrow.com (note: this site only seems to work with Internet Explorer - it causes Firefox to throw a wobbly)
Note that prices are slightly higher in their IFC branch due to the high rent of the shop (but the bankers there seem happy to pay for the convenience). |
Na, forget the HK so called tailors, go to Marks & Spencers.

Johnson and Company
'Twas a L-O-N-G time ago, but had an excellent suit made at Johnson and Company during one of my stops in HK courtesy of the US Navy.
Doesn't fit me anymore, but that's not the suit's fault. M |
Had a suit made by W.W.Chan recently, Cathay's uniform tailors. Not sure if they still make the uniforms, which always fitted very well, but they make very good suits. Not cheap but high quality. They are on the third floor in the same building as Sam in Nathan Road.

thank you all very much, I shall now venture forth!
