CX - Comments on Cabin Crew
A genuine question for any CX cabin crew.
CX hand out cards asking for comments on cabin crew - asking us to nominate good service, etc. Does anything actually come of these? Is the result passed back to the CC? |
I am not a CX cc but have heard of crew getting promotions based on this.
I had on Delta filled out such a form, and got a reply from the crew, thanking me. So i guess it helps. |
Every positive comment we get in writing is good, sticky; the little forms that come packaged in the reading set in the seatpocket of every seat are overlooked by most passengers, but a few do get filled out and these get passed on to ISD (the Inflight Services Department) and go into our individual files, to be considered later on when we come up for promotion or any other commendation. If you are really impressed by any one flight attendant's service or service style, however, I heartily recommend taking the time to write a letter to ISD about your positive experience. Letters carry more weight than the forms in the reading pack, and go a longer way toward making sure that the flight attendant gets the recognition for his or her work. But if you've no time, then the forms work just fine. Like the old woman said when she p!ssed into the sea, "Every little bit helps!" :D
Thanks for taking an interest, by the way! [ 20 August 2001: Message edited by: RadioFlyer ] |
RF, I differ with your comment, as I had a big comment letter from a Chinese tour group from China, with over 40 signatures.
I was released still (contract) even though my sick days were not bad. Those things are not worth the paper it is on. Instead if you lick some Purser's rear, I am sure you will have a great life as an FA. I also worked internal part time as well, but still CX decides that I am of no value to the company. Sounds familiar huh?? Doesn't just happen in FOP but also in ISD. Cheers, CX pilots, stand strong! :D :D |
Sorry to hear you were let go, smallwing. :( I guess you're right, and if they decide to do away with someone then no amount of complimentary letters and forms and war medals aren't going to help. However I don't want to discourage people who do want to write in to comment on exemplary service received; we FAs get little enough thanks as it is, and the occasional note of appreciation does help boost flagging morales every now and then! :D

RF, you are right on morale, but I wish instead of those complimentary letters, it should be little red envelopes for them to give FA lai see. hahahahahaha!!!
That would boost morale and pockets. Cheers :D :D :D |
Most good CM's would bin the bad one's & only submit the positive one's. (if any)
