Staff Travel Rip-Off
 

Apologies for breaking the silence, but just in case any of you are unsure where your loyalties lie, take a look at the great "improvements" to our wonderful staff travel benefits. Here are a few examples:

J Class

HKG-MNL: 93% increase
HKG-BKK: 111% increase
HKG-NRT/JKT: 103% increase

Although it didn't mention how much, First Class zoned fares will also be substantially increased.

Child Fares will be increased to 67% of adult fares.

As expected, zero days notice was given as these increases are effective June 1, 2001.

Apparently unlike most airlines where staff travel is a BENEFIT, CX chooses to extract huge profits from their own staff. Amazing.

Hey, it is not all bad:
Zone 8 C class fares went down 1.5% big savings thanks, glad I traveled in June!

If you look at the fare schedule it PLAINLY indicates only two things....charge the higher salaried expats a fortune to fly in first when going home and...keep all of our cabin crew out of business class on regional flights!!!!!

All looks good to me.

At last the pilots are not subsidising the regional flights.

Guys. We are spending lots of our AOA money on PR. My friend above is trying to lead this little thread in a certain direction. Drop it now. It is so easy to be lead into typing something that the CPA spin merchants can use against us. Most of the Pprune regulars are doing a great job, staying quiet, thats why we are seeing new guys trying to induce, unguarded comment. Stay unified. Stay quiet. Thanks.
