Seniority
Hey fellas.... I would just like a question in the back of my mind answered. Does a cadet pilot graduating as a 2nd officer go onto the seniority list straight away (like normal S/Os?) Thanks for your help.

They do now.

Cadets still have to serve a longer period as S/O before they can be considered for upgraded. It is about 3 years at the time being.

How long time does one normally sit as a S/O in cathay?
6000TT B767 2200 hours |
About 2.5 - 3 years I think.

More like 1.5 - 2 yrs at the current rate of turnover, except for cadets who have to do three.
