DB Hillfire
 

Well its been burning for nearly 12 hours now, I must say I enjoyed watching those two GFS super pumas trying to put it out this afternoon.

The winds show no signs of abating, I wonder if it will still be going in the morning, half the mountainside is on fire!!

OK now i am starting to be concerned, they are spraying water around the DB tunnel entrance, there are huge flames on the side of the hill advancing down towards the tunnel.

Neo Horizon and the greens have been evacuated. Fire is heading towards the reservoir.

yup,looking pretty bad opposite the green buildings now too. Some telephone poles have burnt down as well and ash flakes are floating all around.

When we went out this morning it seemed to have covered a fair part of the eastern end of Lantau right up to the narrow canal on the western end of the Disneyland site. Hope everyone in DB is safe.
