CX A340-200s

Hi,
as far as I know CX first had 4 A340-200s which were replaced by -300s 2 years later. Can anybody tell me further details about this planned or unplanned replacement?

They were leased from Phillipine Airlines. I seem to remember that they were scheduled to be given back upon arrival of the -300's, but it is a long time ago, so I may be having a moment.
