Dragonair A340s
 

I am A340 endorsed although not current.
Have just heard from my Airbus source that Dragonair have just put out their tentacles for 4 A340-300s (leases or orders) to be delivered by 2005 years end.
Apparently they already have more A330-300s coming (leases).
Do they employ direct entry Captains?
Was told Airbus could possibly deliver up to 2 but not till mid next year.
I have gone to their website but not that user friendly.
Any tips?

Have not heard of 340s mentioned around the traps...just lots more 330s, and yes the first off the line that can be acquired are next year, even though more are wanted this year.
No direct entry Capts planned at present...but with the numbers of a/c coming who knows?

I have forever heard the 340 rumor is not true, perhaps your sources are a bit better?

KA is on a hiring spree for DE FO's, for all fleets it seems. Quite surprising that some of the guys were going onto the 320/1.

Another 330 due in end of this month.

Promotion from right to left is quite fast if you are qualified.
