CX is a 100% Chinese airline owned and indebted so deeply to the PRC / CCP they can never recover.. Swires are the "group" puppets.

Still, paying overflight charges to a sanctioned country at war with a UN country leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. There must be very sweet tea being drunk on the sixth floor.

Absolutely disgusted they should even consider overflight. Knowing the price of everything versus cost of lives in Ukraine. Plenty of other ways to JFK with a stop enroute

I guess they just sent a few million Ruble out with Nord when it departed the other day.

CX841 on Nov 1 flew over Russia on the way back from JFK. It was around 2 to 2 and a half hours faster than not via Russia.
