CX Redundancies

Sorry, but as an outsider who might be a little thick, could you answer some basic questions to help me understand what's going on there, please?
*1. Is there a pilot surplus worldwide?
*2. Is there a pilot surplus in CX?
*3. Do the CX pilots have a redundancy clause in their contract to deal with the solution to the pilot surplus?
*4. If - for whatever reason - the pilots were to sign a new COS - would it have a redundancy clause?
*5. If all the pilots signed a new COS and if any CX pilot surplus still existed - how would CX management then select pilots to be "let go"?

Please enlighten me.

Can you answer this question for me.

As an outsider, why is it any of your business to know this?

Well said, Sloppy; as a retired EK Captain, I could not agree more .................

Having previously expressed excitement at getting his hands on the 49’s book, I m not convinced Gobblydegook is the outsider he claims to be.

Sounds like a fishing expedition to me. His points *1 and *2 are either bait or inserted to misrepresent himself as an outsider.

His other points indicate he knows more than what he is letting on.
As for his comment about being a little thick, well that’s more difficult to argue against.

The are many disadvantages of working for the CX group, but when the sh1t hits the global fan, there’s no safer place to be.
Unpaid leave is voluntary. Full basic pay, housing schooling otherwise.
Some who are flying are actually on overtime.

Nothing new here. I remember 9/11, SARS, the GFC, and the outcome was near identical.

please move along, there will be no redundancies here.

Don't feed the trolls.

For now.

Hoping you are correct.

If, hypothetically speaking, the workforce was magically enticed to somehow end up on this new COS20, or whatever it will be called, then it seems it could solve an employers problems for years:
• Increased productivety due reduced leave in most categories.
• No pesky LIFO requirements, CRL etc, so terminate crew in any rank at any time.
• A low base rate of pay, with most coming from an hourly component.
• No expat housing allowance.

Its employer Nirvana on steroids.

CX management is being very quiet. The feckers are up to something.
