No offense taken, but it seems there are bigger issues at hand at the moment.

Yes, and laid every single one of them off in 2001/02 or later in bankruptcies. If you were hired by a US major after 1996, you are almost certainly laid off at some point 2001-2006. No question, a lot of the people hired in the US pre-1996 and after 2005 have done very well financially since 2010. That's a short period of time compared to someone who went to work in the early 1990's and made Asian compensation - including housing allowances - for the last 20-30 years.
That's not as relevant as this: No one is wrong in any way to prefer working in the US or for a US-carrier, just as the people who work for QF, BA, EK, KE, etc. and really like it are making the right choice for themselves. It's just absurd to state that someone is "wrong" for decisions they are very happy with. You’re a personification of why CX and it’s pilot group are doomed to fail. Can’t see the forest from the trees and like nearly everyone at CX you have no idea how bad you have it since it’s all you know. |
To each their own?
No one is right or wrong here, guys. |

Why???? Why do you do yourself. Have some self respect man. Take a look around you! Oh wait, another ex military, have no-idea-what-the-US-majors-are-like, delusional CX pilot. What's with this expat syndrome? You are competing again Mainland Chinese airlines and Mainland Chinese wages. Your working conditions are appalling. Wake up and look around! Open your freakin eyes! |
Again. Is this really important? Talk about spitting into the wind.

Yeah, why is this even a topic for discussion?
Are there any Americans in Emirates as well? Who friggin cares ( apart from the Americans themselves ) |
Take a poll, who would you prefer to share a cockpit with:
a) An American or b) An Austronaut (I'm tipping it wouldn't be the Antipodean) |
a yank .

I prefer to share the cockpit with someone who looks further than judging a person on their nationality.

NoAndThen aka PK
Guess you haven’t seen the US Base pay scales. ACMS is right, why is this even a topic of discussion? Kisses, Soda |
Fascinating. This thread has legs. I suppose you don't have any real issues of concern. Guess I left the company just before the good times returned.

It’s because we’re bored and don’t go downtown with the Zombie Apocalypse. And it’s fun to give PK a hard time. He deserves it.
Enjoy your retirement and, perhaps, get a life instead of reading this ****e. |
