Cathay Interview, PII, Stepping stone? Bond?

Hope everyone is well. I got a lot of negative responses telling me that joining Cathay would be one of ... if not the worst mistake of my life.

I was wondering, what about using Cathay as a stepping stone? One year at Cathay, apply to Emirates, Etihad, etc.? Or is there a training bond or time that I must remain at Cathay?

Thanks.

There is a one year bond if not longer depending on your background.

And this is what it's become.

A stepping stone.

And that stone is on a foundation of quicksand.

About 25 years to command if you join now.

A forum full of alternative facts for gullible imbeciles.

Is that what you want pprune to be? Really?

What a disgrace.

Does Cathay accept applications for second officer with an EASA CPL with frozen ATP?

aviationluver 11th Apr 2017 20:57

I believe so Cathay is accepting anyone now. I spoke with a recruiter in the past about a few pilots that went from flying a Cessna 152 and got hired by Cathay to fly a B747. Talk about making a huge jump, and leapfrogging a lot of people. I wonder what those Cessna 152 pilots had that made them such qualified applicants??
