Bundling votes
 

I am all about resolving our problems at work.
What I cannot understand, is why we are not saying these issues will not be resolved with bundling of vote. Unrest will remain no matter the outcome. You can resolve problems together, but the vote needs to remain separate.
If we are in the driving seat, we need to stand up and show some gumption, and stick to the course. "Bundling is an inescapable reality..." just doesn't cut it in my book. They are two totally different agenda's, with one clearly aimed at one group of pilots, whom the company need to vote through their substandard RP's package.

The AOA have even said G day phone calls are on the increase again!

We have put in the hard yards, lets not throw all that hard work away now.

It doesn't help when line pilots wearing red lanyards show up 30 minutes before sign on all ready to go.

This might be true Anotherday but every single recipient of HKPA joined after we helped the company with SLS and 25 year ARAPA was promised and agreed to! I get the numbers game, (55% HKPA or so) but why has their issue leap frogged ARAPA? We had an agreement with CX for 25 year housing and we're still TRYING to get one for HKPA, I'm just a little pissed that the ARAPA guys appear to have been thrown under the bus!

No one's leaving? I have heard otherwise. Chap I flew with recently almost 20 numbers up the ASL in 6 weeks.

You can be certain that the ever increasing rate of resignations is getting the attention of our dear leaders. In fact, this year alone there are many senior pilots that are planning on leaving well before 65. This airline is being hollowed out, and shrunk from both ends. The eventual outcome is not in doubt. I wouldn't want to be our insurance company.

Not really convinced that there is a bolt for the door from our pilots, but a slow increase in the number of senior aircrew who have had enough and are leaving before they have to at 65. There is also a demographic bulge approaching where all those guys who should have left at age 55 are now reaching the absolute must leave at 65 date. Lots of experience leaving the flight deck to be replaced by much less experienced pilots , but they are cheaper.

20 guys leave, they send 1 airframe to KA or Drop a route/ pattern. CX maths.

Attrition at KA is making a gentle mathematical play I suggest.

If KA's command course can be rapidly adjusted to match that of its competitors, HKA & HKE, then the transfer of business will be orderly.

A 100% failure rate will see heads roll. As would the historically accepted 50%. Watch the adjustment!

The directors don't care about senior guys leaving. The fact is they are replaced by much cheaper ones. The fact that only C scale is leaving, but not that many means the C Scale package is right as far as CX directors are concerned. The problem is no B scale guys leave (retaining expensive labor is bad) and it also means the B scale package is too good. ( Like the old A scale B scale comparisons).

Bundling votes. Its a sure way to ensure a crappy deal is passed. The odds are stacked in the houses favour.

Its simple. If it affects your package or contract then you should have a vote. If it does not affect your package then you should not vote. RP's is an all pilot deal therefore all should vote. ARAPA is a B scale deal and only those receiving should vote. Same goes for HKPA.

Common sense should prevail but the problem is common sense is just not that common.:ugh:
