A sign of things to come?

To mark your two years of effort under Contract Compliance, we celebrate by coming out of it a day early for this typhoon.

The 'best friends' relationship has started!

Not a chance would RF have stated 'to avoid confusion, we'll stick to our mistake and be good little boys and girls for CX'.

Just remember no one is forcing you to come out of CC be a man and make your own decisions FFS!

Press on boys and girls, Press On...

Agreed. But we all know there are enough out there who will be dashing in to help!

Maybe PM might even get his EFP lol

Come out of CC with nothing from CX??
HELLO! That's a definable win for AT, surely?? Well done Cathay - more bonuses all round.
Do your own CC. It ain't that hard, anyway.

For those of you that need help reading between the lines......coming out of CC for a typhoon is mainly to prevent forcing crew to go to work in a T8 and the legal implications that could arise from that if you were to get yourself killed along the way........it has the added bonus of showing the company our "Goodwill!"

Now let's all get back to doing what we are contracted to do.

CR, when the schedule suddenly gets cancelled and you have an outstanding notification, if you didn't either acknowledge it or contact CC (both of which are not allowed) then you would have to arrive at dispatch at your rostered time or get a MD.

Coming out of contract compliance allows these acknowledgements to take place without risking life and limb heading to the airport.

If it was that dangerous to go to work, you would think then that a caring employer would cease ops earlier???

joblow 22nd Oct 2016 11:30

If you can't get to work during a typhoon , no cabs , AEL not running , or if you just consider it too dangerous . Phone CC and tell them you can't get to work , the roads are blocked , unable to get a cab , whatever .
offer to go out if they can send you a transport . You aren't missing a duty , you are unable to get to CX city despite your best efforts . That's what happens in typhoons, transport comes to a grinding halt . If you get it on the tapes that's your safety net
