Instead of the proposed 90% ESF rate for overseas international schools, cx should allow 75% international schools rate of that country your child is in. Schooling is equally as important as RPs and housing / allowances! :ok:

Any movement to push this through?

I'm sure they would love to, but they can't seem to get 100% participation in contact compliance to fight for RPs. They can only achieve what the leverage lets them achieve.

I see many guys talk about housing / allowance but why isn't much attention paid to schooling? And regarding healthcare, your wives' pregnancy is NOT even covered! Most companies cover "pregnancy" on behalf their foreign employees. Why is that so? Is cx encouraging us not to have kids? :(

Any rudimentary amount of research would conclude that CX is not a place to bring your family members. Save yourselves a lifetime of grief and don't even bother. For the sake of your wife and children. There are much better company's that deserve your life's effort. This is not one of them.

I'm not missing any point, old fruit. It just strikes me that you're keen to take whatever opportunity you can to piss on somebody else's parade. This chosen career of ours has gone to the dogs long since. Even the legacy carriers back home have their own diminished scales, pensions etc. How long before another worldwide recession and the yank carriers furlough people again ? Notwithstanding any retirement demographic problems.
At the end of the day a lot of youngsters will view CX as not a bad gig; I'm not saying I would do it now if I had my time over however people should be allowed to make their own minds up ( given very little alternative) and not have to read the bitter and twisted vicarious ramblings of curmudgeonly old farts like ourselves. If I thought your posts were well intentioned I'd shut the f up. However, there's just a touch too much of schadenfreude and " f@@k you Jack ( you've stolen a Naval handle, you can look it up) to make them seem anything other than sour grapes.
Each to their own. We'll be long gone before CX totally destroy this once excellent company.
And the new grey contracts on offer will be the new black.

.....and that is exactly what I am telling them. The company paints an oh so rosy picture of the 'package', which results in people joining who are woefully ill-prepared for what awaits them. It is unfair, immoral and destructive to entice entire families here, then leave them almost no possible chance of being able to live a comfortable and happy life. It's nothing to do with what i've had over the years. It's everything to do with preventing yet another tale of misery (and I train many of them, so hear it first hand). Perhaps you can debate me on the facts instead of suggesting I 'f@ck off back to the old country' (quote,unquote). There's an intellectual debate based on the facts if i've ever heard one.

Two colleagues from the land of the vikings expressed interest in joining. After a 20 min chat, they no longer are interested. This company's offer is not fit for purpose. Deceptive and damaging to families. Stay away. If there was a 'smilie' of a radioactive symbol, I would place it at the beginning and end of any comment.

Globocnik. Just read your previous post. You say that Trafalgar is bitter, twisted? You come across pretty much that way yourself. As for your facts: T & C's in the legacy carriers is improving markedly (especially in the USA). You dismiss the reality of coming retirements as though losing 60% of your pilots over the next 7 years (US majors) is really of no consequence. Pensions and salaries are increasing in many markets because of this fact, never mind expansion concerns and parking airplanes. Trafalgar seems to be stating the true facts of life in CX, and warning prospective joiners accordingly. Can't see what is wrong with that. Didn't read like 'pissing on someones parade', only good and timely advice. Btw, I haven't been here that long, and I wish someone had forewarned me as to the reality of living in HK on effectively 'D' scale. Needless to say, I haven't 'unpacked my suitcase' (you can look it up), old fruit.
